The UK marketing recruitment market attracts high volumes of responses for roles like this - but the vast majority are not the right fit. Filtering through that noise quickly was essential.

With the goal of keeping the shortlist as tight as possible, Matchking carried out a dual approach - leveraging our candidate database alongside direct outreach through targeted networking within our Powering H2H marketing network.

Drawing on knowledge of the company and its culture from previous assignments, and with the two main challenges in mind, we conducted face-to-face interviews and presented five carefully selected candidates. The interview process was extensive and thorough, covering phone and in-person stages with HR, the Marketing Director, the Sales Director and the General Manager.

All five recommended candidates progressed to first interviews, three advanced to second interviews and two reached the final stage. Rebecca Ewing was offered and accepted the role.

Matchking remained closely involved throughout the negotiation process, ensuring a smooth transition and a successful start in the new position.
